There will be 2 Best Newcomer Awards (up to 3 years in a role that includes business intelligence, analytics or market research) awarded in 2011-12:
- Best Industry Newcomer - sponsored by medeConnect Healthcare Insight
- Best Agency Newcomer - sponsored by Red Leaf Research
Candidates, who must have a total of no more than 3 years business intelligence experience (as of 31st December 2011) will take part in a practical business intelligence simulation exercise/case study. This one-day competition will allow newcomers to demonstrate their ability and potential in front of a specially selected panel.
The event will be held on Thursday 22nd March 2012 at the offices of SAS, near Marlow.
Important points to note:
- The competition is designed to allow entrants to demonstrate their ability to think on their feet and tackle a range of challenges.
- The day will comprise a series of tasks which are designed to be sufficiently broad for all candidates to undertake - whether they work in market research, sales analytics, business information or other related disciplines.
- It will assess things like planning & organisation and communication skills NOT knowledge of a particular type of research or analytical process.
- This is a unique opportunity for industry and agency participants to learn from the judges as well as demonstrate their own abilities.
- It will be fun!
Candidates must currently (and at the time the event takes place) be working in a role that includes business intelligence, analytics or market research, and be working for a BHBIA member company.
In order to give all our member organisations a chance to take part, we ask that no more than two people are put forward from each company. As spaces are limited the BHBIA reserve the right to limit entries if capacity is exceeded.
