Terms and Conditions

Conditions of entry

Submissions must relate to business intelligence, market research or sales research/analytics that has impacted on UK pharma business.

Work must have been completed in the 3 years to December 2011. You may submit programmes/projects that were entered for previous BOBI Awards if new supporting evidence has become available.

The same work may be entered for more than one category as long as a separate submission is written for each category, addressing that category’s specific focus. However, a given programme/project will only be short-listed in one category.

You may enter a category that your organisation is sponsoring. Judges are selected to avoid any conflict of interest.

If you wish, you may base your entry on a programme/project that you have already submitted/will be submitting as a proposed session for the 2012 BHBIA Annual Conference.

There is no limit to the number of entries any individual or company may submit.

However, the Short-listing Panel reserve the right to disqualify or move entries into alternative categories and/or to limit the number of finalists going forward from the same organisation, in the event of that organisation submitting multiple high quality entries in a given category.

The BOBI Steering Committee reserve the right to withdraw any given award category at any time.

Judging Process

All submissions will be treated as strictly confidential – content will not be discussed outside the Short-listing and Judging Panels. (with the exception of the 100-word executive summary, should the entry be short-listed).

Up to 3 finalists in each category will be selected by a Short-listing Panel, selected from the BOBI Steering Committee (see website for list of members – you will need to logo on to view the names).

Winners are selected by a senior Judging Panel, who will review the short-listed entries (the list of judges will be available on the website from 1st December – you will need to log on to view the names).

The same set of objective scoring criteria is used at both stages.

Judges have the opportunity to contact finalists by email to seek clarification/further information (if available) on any of the content of the submission.

The Short-listing and Judging Panels for each category will be carefully selected, taking into account the individuals’ expertise and the need to avoid potential conflicts of interest, including those identified on the entry form.

Identity of entrants is only disclosed if their entry is short-listed.

The only part of the submission that may be reproduced in any way is the 100-word executive summary, which may be published or quoted from at the event or in publicity surrounding the event (short-listed entries only).
