Reform, reform and never a decision made…

The theme of this year’s seminar will be around using business insights to inform good decision making.

Highlights of the programme:

Key Note Speaker: Gordon Lundie, Director of Government Affairs and Market Access – UCB Pharma Ltd
The use of information by the pharmaceutical industry has been focused largely on
increasing sales levels by identifying opportunity and driving treatment uptake. In a cash constrained NHS, new and existing medicines will need to demonstrate how they improve the overall cost of care. The most effective companies will help customers understand how best to optimize the use of medicines by providing the new treatment as a service that will reduce the overall cost, rather than as an addition area of expense.
.

How does Business Intelligence guide decision making?
This year’s Best Business Impact BOBI winner Kruti Popat (Takeda), will showcase her winning entry looking at exactly this topic for one of the highest selling products in Takeda’s portfolio.

Have you ever wondered what the arguments were for and against Value-Based Pricing? Have you ever wanted to have the debate?
Well, the BHBIA Winter Seminar will be putting Value-Based Pricing on trial!
The Prosecution and Defence ‘Lawyers’; Ian Crouchley (The Consortium) and Jon Freeman (Synergy) will be joined by expert witnesses to argue the case. Then it will be over to you for cross examination and the final verdict.

Our networking event will follow, with the usual traditional Christmas Dinner and a raffle in aid of our nominated charity - The Princess Royal Trust for Carers.
