Julie Stacey 1958 – 1999 

  • Read Economics at Bristol 
  • Started pharmaceutical marketing career with Duphar Laboratories (now Solvay healthcare) 
  • Joined Markon Market research 
  • Founder of Research Quorum in 1987 
  • Ran Research Quorum training course and also lectured on courses for the BHBIA, MRS and ABMRC

Ian Burgess

  • Chemist at Proctor & Gamble
  • Moved into the labs at ICI (now AZ) in the 1950s Product Manager for Inderal, UK’s first beta-blocker 
  • Worked at Ciba (Novartis) in Basel before agency side 
  • Joined IMS in late 1960s, oversaw development of MDI
  • Ian set up Linked Medical Data – to market what became New & Change Therapy Enquiry (NCTE) CompuFile took over marketing of NCTE in 1988, Ian handed over reigns to Nicky Richards – he continued to input into development of DIN-LINK from the Channel Islands until his death in 1994
