BOBI Committee & Judging Panel

The BOBI Committee and Judging Panels represent opportunities for a wide cross section of the BHBIA membership to get involved

BOBI Committee

The BOBI Committee is responsible for setting the direction and planning the detail of the BOBI Awards process. Committee members are drawn from Pharma Company and Agency member companies and some are Personal members.

The following people currently positions of specific responsibility on the BOBI Committee:

  • Wilf Iliffe, 14 Four Analytics - Chair
  • Steve North, i2i - BOBI Challenge Lead
  • Alison Buchanan, Alison Buchanan Associates Ltd. - Best Newcomer Lead
  • Kelly West, Boehringer Ingelheim - BHBIA Board link

We welcome expressions of interest from potential new members and are particularly keen to increase pharma representation on the group.

Shortlisting and Judging

As well as making decisions about how the BOBI Awards are run, the group have a key role once a year in shortlisting and judging the entries. Only a small group of members will review each category and they will be carefully selected to ensure relevant expertise whilst avoiding any conflicts of interest. Additional judges may be invited to help with this process.

The judging panels for any given award are  subject to additions/changes at any time so are not listed in advance of the entry deadline (but all judges will be acknowledged at the event and later in the BHBIA Journal).

Those entering the Real-life submission based awards can specify any companies that should not view their entries, and these will be excluded from the judging process for the category in question. If you have any concerns about who will be viewing your entry, please ensure that you specify on your entry form ALL organisations that you do not wish to read it.

Judging Panel

If you don't want the regular commitment of being a BOBI Committee member, another opportunity to get involved could be to become a judge. This is a one-off commitment in March/April each year, and involves reviewing the entries in a given category and conferring with a panel of fellow judges (Real-life submissions and Task-based challenges) or judging at a competition event. The precise details depend on the awards category and may be subject to change from year to year.

We welcome expressions of interest from experienced business intelligence professionals.
