Stewart joined Janssen in November 2009 as Market Research Manager for HIV in the UK, having cut his teeth at Merck Serono for the previous 14 years. Within 18 months at Janssen his remit had grown to include diabetes and Hepatitis C in the UK as well as leading diabetes market research across the EMEA region. Stewart has previously been very active within the BHBIA as a steering committee member and more recently as Deputy Chair. On rare occasions he has been spotted at the bar – but not often!

Reasons why Stewart was nominated:
Stewart exemplifies an excellent working relationship between agency and industry. He is always responsive to suggestions and recommending new and innovative ways of partnering on projects to meet the objectives of the research. Communication is one of Stewart's particular strengths; he always ensures that the process runs smoothly and both parties are fully aware of the development of a project. The impact of this is a smooth working relationship in which both parties thrive to deliver the optimal outcome of the research
