​An introduction to forecasting: the process of making predictions of the future based on past and present data and analysis of trends, with specific reference to pharma / healthcare

The course has been designed to provide an introduction to forecasting for the pharmaceutical industry. The content focuses on providing knowledge of key forecasting concepts, when to use different forecasting methodologies and processes and why forecasting is important. 

Please note that in-depth technicalities of building a forecast model or of statistical analysis are not covered in this course.

It is likely to be particularly suitable for: 

  • - Anyone in a healthcare / pharma business intelligence role who will need to get involved in creating forecasts in the future. This training will provide a top line understanding to help you get started. You will then need to build on this with practical / hands-on training;
  • - Anyone who needs a broad understanding of the principles of forecasting so that they can have informed discussions with colleagues or clients, although forecasting may not be a main part of their own role.

We also include some knowledge checks throughout the training.

At the end of the training, there’s a short test to consolidate what you’ll have learnt - and you will be able to download a certificate of learning. 


You have unlimited time to complete the training, so please make sure you get maximum benefit by studying the course material thoroughly and taking note of any key points. Once you have passed the test you will no longer have access.
