Appointment of new BHBIA Officers

January 13th, 2023

The BHBIA is pleased to announce the appointment of two new part-time officers who will support the Board of Directors and ultimately help to deliver more value to its members.

Kate Stevens is appointed as Development Officer.

Kate started her healthcare career 18 years ago and has spent the last 14 years in Business Intelligence, working across a broad range of analytics projects and disciplines. She has been a BHBIA Board member since 2018 and Treasurer for the past two years. Kate firmly believes her career has been underpinned by relationships built on trust, integrity, hard work and a passion for all things Business Intelligence.

In her new role, Kate will be responsible for Learning and Development and will support the Ethics & Compliance Committee with their initiatives and training for the membership.

"The BHBIA training and events programmes have been key to developing my technical skills and personal network throughout my analytics career. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed convening, designing and presenting at courses over the last few years so I’m very excited to be helping drive the BHBIA’s Learning and Development ambitions forwards in my new role," says Kate.

In light of Kate's appointment, she has resigned from the Board of Directors and we will announce the new Treasurer in due course.

Jo Williams is appointed as Communications Officer.

Jo has worked in healthcare marketing and insights for more than 25 years, with 14 years spent in analytics, market research and leadership roles at Kantar Health. Since 2017, Jo has been an independent marketing consultant, working with diverse clients, from large pharma and healthcare companies to biotech companies and start-ups. Her experience spans the full spectrum of marketing and communications but many of her recent projects have focused on reaching and engaging audiences on social media.

Alongside communications, Jo will help support important initiatives such as the BOBI Awards and the Annual Conference.

"I’m excited to be helping bring the BHBIA’s vision for thought leadership, professional development and ethical standards to life and to play a role in enabling the industry I worked in for so long to deliver excellence with integrity. I hope my knowledge, experience and passion will enable me to bring fresh ideas and energy to how BHBIA communicates with its members," says Jo.

The Board is delighted to welcome Kate and Jo into their new roles. We hope you will join us in wishing them every success!

Kate and Jo will work alongside Aline Rogers, Executive Officer, and Liz Saunders, Engagement Officer. The BHBIA Admin Team remains your first point of contact for general enquiries and can be reached at admin@bhbia.org.uk.
