Jo McDonald
"I have joined the Board to give back to the industry and the insight professionals who have supported my career so far. The UK insights landscape continues to evolve alongside the broader life sciences environment, and I want to be able to contribute to its future direction, helping to ensure that the insights profession in the UK remains vibrant, credible, and attractive to new talent. Supporting the next generation is important to me, and I believe that a strong professional body—that represents the different perspectives of clients, agencies and independents —is essential for sustaining the industry long‑term.
I will bring a unique mix of global, local, client, agency, and independent consulting experience, which enables me to understand and represent the needs of professionals working across different parts of the insight ecosystem and how we work together. I am looking forward to helping the BHBIA in developing relevant, practical content and in promoting balanced representation of all types of insight roles.
I am also a trained mental health practitioner. Given the increasing focus on wellbeing in the workplace, I am keen to get involved in initiatives that support members in this area"
Gregg Quy
"I am delighted to be joining the BHBIA Board, driven by a genuine passion for advancing behavioural and healthcare insights as a discipline. As an active member, contributor and award recipient, I have long valued the BHBIA's role in setting standards, sharing best practice and nurturing a collaborative community - and I am excited to now contribute to that mission from the inside.
In my current role within BioVid's Innovation Team, I focus on applying behavioural and social science thinking to technology-led solutions, including synthetic audiences, AI agents and research automation, always with an emphasis on keeping these tools human-centred, scientifically robust and ethically grounded. I am particularly looking forward to helping the BHBIA support members in navigating the rapid changes brought by AI and new insight-generation models, strengthening thought leadership around responsible innovation, and ensuring the organisation remains inclusive, relevant and future-ready for all its members."
Arby Saboonchian
"I am excited to join the BHBIA Board as I strongly believe in its pivotal role as the collective voice of healthcare business intelligence. At a time when the industry and the NHS are evolving, the BHBIA’s leadership and guidance are more important than ever. I am motivated by the opportunity to ensure the BHBIA continues to be innovative and forward-looking and serving on the Board will allow me to give back to an organisation that has played an important role in the professional development of many including myself in the industry."
The Board, comprising 10 members from industry and agency/consultancy, sets the strategic direction of the BHBIA. Board members are volunteers who dedicate their time and energy, supported by their organisations, to deliver initiatives and events that meet members’ current and future needs. We hope you will join us in welcoming our new members to the BHBIA Board and wishing them every success.
