Building Trust, Rapport and Influence: Partnering with Integrity - course review

March 9th, 2023

Do you understand the drivers of influence and your role as an influencer? Could you adapt your style based on the stakeholders in front of you and the actions you want them to take?

This face to face workshop, held on 9th February, was the first module of the new Get Set for Success series the BHBIA is developing to support Business Insight professionals in the softer day to day skills we need to be able to influence without authority, particularly when faced with a host of personality types!

Led by MEE Consultancy Ltd, the day took attendees through a series of theory models and breakout exercises, framed around a fictitious, but very recognisable, case study. This gave delegates the chance to connect their learnings directly to challenges in their own day job and build immediate changes or techniques to try back in the office the next day

The day received some excellent feedback - with delegates commenting on the content, presenter and "so what" they could apply in their day to day interactions straight away:

  • "The biggest takeaway for me that there are so many constructive techniques to overcome problems, and small steps that can be taken to achieve strategic goals - no matter how challenging. And I'm already applying them"

    Business Operations Specialist

  • "The small group size meant there was the perfect level of interaction from the group & the facilitators"

    Pharma delegate

  • "Great course presenter. Kate did an excellent job of ensuring all participants were engaged and shared their experiences. I have already applied the G-LEAD model and got a good outcome of them committing to a change we have been pushing for a while"
