Rich Hutchings is a healthcare business insights professional with 12+ years’ experience helping pharmaceutical teams turn evidence into decisions across international markets. He currently works at Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a Global Senior Demand & Insights Manager within Global Strategic Insights, partnering with global product teams to frame critical business questions and deliver demand assessments that inform strategy.  Rich specialises in integrating epidemiology, primary market research and decision analytics to build robust forecasts, scenario plans and opportunity sizing.

Alongside his core insights work, he contributes to Bayer’s AI initiatives by supporting practical use cases and training that help teams adopt generative AI responsibly and improve the speed and quality of decision-making.  Before moving into global, Rich held UK insights roles across Oncology and Women’s Health at Bayer, supporting brand strategy, market research governance, sales force effectiveness and forecasting. Earlier in his career, he held senior agency positions at Healthcare Research Worldwide and Ipsos Healthcare, leading international programmes spanning advanced quantitative research, segmentation, pricing, market sizing and uptake forecasting.
