The BHBIA Annual Conference 2026 showed the power of this community to innovate together. As we celebrated 20 years of the BOBI Awards and a revitalised conference, the impact of shared ideas and collaboration was clear.

For 2027, we want to build on that momentum and look ahead. The healthcare landscape keeps shifting, and so must we. That’s why we’re seeking contributions that tackle emerging challenges head-on, spark fresh debate and equip our community for what comes next.

What we’re looking for

We welcome proposals from across the healthcare business intelligence community - pharma, agencies, analytics, fieldwork, market research and beyond. Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or a new voice with a fresh idea, we want content that is:

  • Practical – rooted in real-world experience and instantly useful
  • Forward-thinking – exploring future tools, trends or thinking
  • Interactive – designed to engage, not just inform
  • Relevant – tackling the real-world needs of today’s business intelligence professionals

Formats can range from workshops, panels and roundtables to fireside chats, case studies or TED-style talks.

  • Evolving ethical best practices – Keeping pace with responsible, inclusive insight generation
  • Performance analytics in a digital world – Measuring what matters, with real-world analytical examples including CRM, Segmentation & Targeting, Personas & Omnichannel (Customer 360)

For conference contributions, we will provide guidance and support on content, format and key preparation requirements in the lead-up to the conference.

Who can contribute?

Anyone with something valuable to share. We welcome a diverse range of speakers, including industry thought leaders, experienced subject-matter experts, early-career professionals with fresh perspectives, and voices from outside healthcare and beyond business intelligence, where learning is transferable

 

Do I need to be a BHBIA member?

No. Membership isn’t required to submit, but joining gives you access to all our events, training, resources and community.

 

What types of content are you looking for?

Bold, practical, and relevant content that speaks to the real-world needs of healthcare business intelligence.

Formats could include:

  • Workshops (face-to-face or virtual): interactive, skills-based learning
  • Webinars: 60-minute online updates or thought leadership
  • Panels & Roundtables: multi-perspective discussions with audience input
  • Learning Labs: hands-on sessions for testing tools and ideas
  • Case Studies: real-world examples with clear lessons learned
  • Fireside Chats / Debates: focused conversations on emerging challenges
  • TED-style Talks (20 mins): short, sharp and inspiring
 

Are promotional presentations accepted?

No. Content must deliver genuine value, not sales pitches. You may briefly reference proprietary tools, but the focus must be on transferable learning.

 

How are submissions selected?

The BHBIA Board reviews proposals for:

  • Relevance
  • Originality
  • Practicality
  • Alignment with programme goals

We aim to create a balanced, diverse programme.

 

Will my submission be used at the Annual Conference?

Not always. We may consider submissions for our wider events programme, including webinars or training. If your idea fits better elsewhere, we’ll discuss options with you.

 

Do I need a finished session to submit?

No. Strong ideas are welcome even if they’re still in development. We can help you shape them.

 

Will I be credited?

Yes. Your name and organisation will be featured during the event and in related communications.

 

How do I submit?

Complete the online submission form by 25th September 2026.

 

What if I miss the deadline?

We encourage you to submit by the deadline. However, we do seek further contributions from time to time, so you’re welcome to share ideas at any point.
