The next chapter of the BHBIA event experience

Meet Paula Rowntree, who is working with the BHBIA to help shape our events

Events have always been an important part of the BHBIA programme. They give members the chance to hear new thinking, share experiences, make useful connections and spend time with others working across healthcare business insights.

Our two flagship events, the Annual Conference and Insight Exchange, have a strong track record, and we want to make sure they continue to meet members’ needs as expectations continue to evolve.

With that in mind, we’re pleased to welcome Paula Rowntree as BHBIA’s Events Producer. Paula will work with the Board, team and committees on the development and delivery of our events programme, with a particular focus on the delegate experience.

Paula has spent much of her career working across health, medical and professional communities, developing conferences and education programmes that respond to what their audiences need. Her approach combines listening closely to people with looking carefully at the evidence: who is attending, how people are taking part, what is working well and what could be improved.

For Paula, great events are about both what is on the programme and what happens around it – the conversations, connections and exchange of ideas that make being there worthwhile.

Paula is already working with the BHBIA team and Board on the Insight Exchange – Winter 2026 and next year’s Annual Conference.
