The Analytics Connect Group is the BHBIA’s special interest group which focuses on issues pertinent to the analytics sector of our membership, including SFE, CRM and related areas.

Analytics are playing an increasingly important part in healthcare business insight generation.  The purpose of the Analytics Connect Group is to look at how analytics is evolving in our industry and to input into how the BHBIA can support this section of our membership.

The topic for Andi's presentation will be Driving Decision Quality - the role of the Analyst

In his presentation Andi will talk about how the work of the Analyst is critical to supporting the quality of decisions made by their organisation be they in an NHS or commercial setting.

 Andi will look at some of the areas today’s analyst needs to consider when delivering decision support such as

• Data sets to draw upon – can some of the newer integrated data sets hold the answers or do the answers sit in our ‘go to’ sources?
• Analyses techniques – what approaches can give clear and timely answers to the question?
• Decision support delivery – what should be kept in mind when presenting outputs to the end user?

The value of Analytics teams in the healthcare sector has never been more recognised, thorough his presentation Andi will share his perspective on how Analysts can think about delivering their best contribution to the bigger picture.

Networking Session

Where we will be taking the opportunity to discuss analytics within the BHBIA with delegates.  These discussions form part of our ongoing initiative to gather a deeper understanding of how we can support our members working in this discipline.

There is no charge for this event but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please book early to avoid disappointment. In the interest of allowing a range of delegates to join the Group, whilst still ensuring balanced representation across companies, attendance restrictions have been raised to 4 delegates per company for virtual meetings (2 per company for face to face meetings).
