Bring Insights to Life - Speakers

Cathy Haw, Associate Director, HRW

Following her graduation from Edinburgh university, where she studied Pharmacology and Biomedical Sciences, Cathy has been part of the HRW team for the majority of her research career. She loves adhering to the company ethos of “accessing reality”, using the right techniques to go beyond surface level responses and analysis: and has a passion for applying clever and innovative methodologies to help her achieve this.

A research “omnivore” who enjoys working in both qual and quant, Cathy has a creative side and a keen interest in data visualisation. She believes that all outputs, regardless of the methodology used to capture them, should be given the consideration and care they deserve: based on smart, rich analysis, and offering a clear, simple and powerful story to the audience that means insights have genuine actionability and impact.

In her free time, Cathy likes travelling, music (including the odd festival), experimental cookery and reading everything from the classics to appalling chick-lit.

Tessa Brayford, Senior Research Executive, HRW

Tessa completed her degree in Economics from the University of Exeter, graduating in 2013. Although perhaps not the most typical route into a Healthcare Market Research, a passion for Public Economics and decision making within the unique arena of healthcare led Tessa into a Market Research career. Having started in Market Analytics with Specsavers, Tessa moved on to HRW in 2016 and has jumped straight in to HRW’s culture of ‘accessing reality’. Passionate about making the most of the research and ensuring longevity of findings, Tessa is keen to get to the root of what makes healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical companies tick.

Tessa has an interest in both qual and quant, enjoying the challenges that mountains of data can provide whilst appreciating the rich insights of face to face interviews. Whilst she is always keen to make sure her presentations look ‘pretty’, this is just the surface level of what is provided. With a desire to move beyond aesthetics and ensure that clients are provided not only with a compelling and engaging story, but one that is actionable and exciting within the business.

In her spare time Tessa enjoys escaping the hustle and bustle of London, stretching her legs and enjoying the great outdoors, balanced in equal measure with baking (or more appropriately eating baked goods!)

Jaz Gill, Research Manager, HRW

A graduate of the University of Leeds, Jaz studied Medical Microbiology with a key focus on biophysical chemistry and statistics. He has over 5 years of specific healthcare market research experience, questioning results and making data work harder to address unanswered questions.

Jaz’ specific passions lie in novel methodologies, research technology innovation and experimental statistics – all in the pursuit of truly “accessing reality” with our respondents and their data. He is also a big fan of condensing and aggregating data into a singular functional location to be “played” with at the user’s discretion, such as the depth and power retained in dashboards and dynamic models.

During his down-time, he can often be found at a festival, rock climbing or eating sushi.
