Dr Alan Wade  MB ChB FRCA - Director and Co Founder - Patients Direct

Following an academic career in anaesthesia Alan was in General Practice as a partner and retired after 20 years to pursue a full time career in drug development. He has over 30 years experience in designing studies, influencing protocols. He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book contributions and presents regularly at international meetings with a special interest in Neuropsychopharmacology. He has presented data to the FDA and EMA as well as supporting a client in filing a successful New Drug Application with the EMA. Alan has been a member of a number of International Advisory boards for top 10 Pharmaceutical companies in both drug development and market access.

Angela Scott-Henderson – Patient  Recruitment Manager

Angela has been with the Company for over 7 years and has nearly 20 years joint experience of Project Management, and Patient recruitment.  Prior to joining Patients Direct, Angela was Centre Manager at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, and was part of the team involved in creating an innovative new patient centre.  Angela is responsible for the day to day operational management of Patients Direct. Her remit includes  global patient recruitment and retention, liaison with patient organisations and charities She leads a highly experienced team who have a particular focus on patient insights and patient centricity.

Ken McLennan – Lead Software Developer

Ken has worked with the company for 5 years, and has been designing and building web systems for over 15 years. He is the architect behind Patients Direct’s current survey and data collection platform and has worked in various sectors prior to Patients Direct including Digital Media, Computer Games and System Security providing highly available, secure online systems used worldwide.
