The BHBIA recognises the importance of attracting, developing and retaining the best and brightest people in healthcare Business Intelligence.  The Rising Stars Connect Group is our special interest group aimed at supporting the wealth of emerging talent we have within our membership.  The group welcomes members with up to five years’ experience in healthcare business intelligence who would like to connect with, and get to know, like-minded individuals in our industry.

At our next October meeting we will be spotlighting the BHBIA BOBI Awards.  During this session we will be focusing on:

  • The scope of the BOBI Awards and how members of the Rising Stars can get involved
  • The benefits submitting an entry for a BOBI can bring

In addition, we are excited to welcome Julia Tarter, Research Manager at HRW and the winner of the 2024 BOBI Newcomer Award, as our guest speaker.  Speaking from first-hand experience, Julia will give us a unique view of the BOBI Newcomer process including:

  • Why she wanted to enter the BOBI Newcomer Competition
  • What it was like to participate in the competition day
  • What were her key learnings from the day
  • What the awards ceremony was like and, of course, how it felt to win!

After the presentation there will be a Q&A session where you can put questions to Julia. We will round off the meeting with break out groups where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss topics related to Julia's presentation with your Rising Star colleagues.
