The British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association (BHBIA) is a not-for-profit membership association for professionals working in healthcare business intelligence.
We bring together people from across industry, agencies, and consultancies, spanning roles in insights, analytics, market research, and fieldwork, to share knowledge, develop best practice, support industry collaboration, and champion the strategic value and impact of healthcare business intelligence.
We are looking for an experienced events producer who can help shape high-quality, relevant, and engaging events that strengthen BHBIA’s thought leadership, support collaboration across the community, and deliver value for our members.
About the Role
Working closely with the BHBIA Board and team, the independent events producer will play a central role in developing and delivering a programme of member events, including the BHBIA Annual Conference and Insight Exchange.
Programme Strategy & Content Development
• Help shape the vision and direction of the BHBIA events programme
• Develop compelling, relevant event themes and agendas
• Curate content aligned to developments across healthcare and business intelligence
• Enhance the quality, format, and audience appeal of BHBIA events
• Contribute ideas to strengthen member engagement and attendance at these events
• Support the development of sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities
Speaker Sourcing & Engagement
• Lead on identifying and securing high-quality speakers and contributors
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across pharma, healthcare, and insights in order to engage them in the BHBIA events, speaking at events and encouraging/paying for their teams to be at these events
• Broaden speaker diversity and bring fresh perspectives to the programme beyond traditional healthcare business insights contributors, incorporating experts and voices from other sectors and industries, and keynote speakers.
• Manage speaker communications and briefing processes
Event Delivery Support
• Work collaboratively with the BHBIA team to support event delivery
• Assist with content timelines, programme coordination, and speaker management
• Support time-sensitive activity, including calls for content and agenda development
• Help streamline workload and processes for the BHBIA Board and team
• Ensure a level of consistency across BHBIA’s overall programme content, speakers, and webinars
About You
We are looking for someone with:
• Proven experience producing conferences or professional events, ideally in the healthcare or business intelligence sectors
• Excellent commercial awareness and audience understanding
• An established network of relevant contacts and speakers, or the ability to effectively build and develop one
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team
• Creative problem-solving ability
• Passion for ensuring the BHBIA events meet the changing needs of healthcare business insights professionals
