Appointment of new BHBIA Officer

February 2nd, 2024

The BHBIA is pleased to announce the appointment of Paula Scott as Engagement Officer.

Paula's role will support the goals of the BHBIA by bringing members of the Association together through a range of member-led, initiatives and events.

She takes over the role from Liz Saunders, who has played a key role in supporting the BHBIA and driving member engagement over the past five years. Liz will be leaving the Association at the end of March to focus on her independent research agency.

Paula has worked in healthcare qualitative market research, primarily in agencies, for over 20 years and has significant experience leading pre and post launch brand development studies. Since 2017, she has been an independent research consultant working with a variety of agency clients and pharma companies, where she continues to play a key role in delivering strategic insights on global and domestic brands.

In her position as Engagement Officer, Paula will focus on supporting new and existing member networks, helping members make the most of the full range of benefits and resources, promoting BHBIA services to a range of life science stakeholders and supporting conference activity and events.

Reflecting on her role within BHBIA, Paula says, “The BHBIA is a community for connection and collaboration and adds great value to the industry through its commitment to excellence, integrity and expertise. I’m really excited to be part of this and to play an active role in showcasing the diverse range of benefits available to members. The BHBIA really is the foundation of our industry and it feels an honour to be part of this ever-evolving Association.”

The Board is delighted to welcome Paula into her new role. While we are sad to see Liz go, we extend our thanks for her valuable contribution over the past five years and look forward to her continued involvement in the BHBIA's activities as a member. We hope you will join us in wishing both Paula and Liz every success in these opportunities.

Paula will work alongside Jo Williams, Communications Officer, and Kate Stevens, Development Officer. The BHBIA Admin Team remains your contact for general enquiries and can be reached at admin@bhbia.org.uk.
