BHBIA announces new Board Officer appointments
May 21st, 2026
The BHBIA is pleased to announce the appointment of new Board Officers, elected by the BHBIA Board.
- Michael Hope, Founder, DSX – Chair
- Hannah Brown, Vice President, Strategic Accounts, M3 Global Research – Treasurer
- Gregg Quy, Senior Director, Behavioural Insights and Strategy at BioVid Corp – Deputy Treasurer
Nick Coolican-Smith, Director of CRM & Business Intelligence, Theramex, has been re-elected as Deputy Chair.
These appointments come at a significant inflexion point for business intelligence, with advances in AI, analytics and data-driven decision-making reshaping the role of business insights across the healthcare and life sciences industry.
Under the new Officer team, the Board will focus on delivering greater value and impact for members through enhanced governance, stronger thought leadership, broader industry engagement and a clearer articulation of the role business intelligence plays in shaping better decisions across healthcare. The strategy also aims to strengthen the UK’s position as a global centre of excellence for healthcare business insights and analytics.
Michael Hope, newly appointed Chair of the BHBIA, said:
“Business intelligence is evolving rapidly, and the role our community plays in helping organisations make better, faster and more informed decisions has never been more important. The opportunities created by new technologies are significant, but so too is the need to ensure our industry continues to apply insights, data and analytics effectively, credibly and responsibly.
The BHBIA has an important role in supporting members through this change, strengthening the profile and impact of business insights across healthcare and life sciences, and helping the industry continue to evolve and deliver value across the sector.
I’d like to thank outgoing Chair Paul O’Nions, Treasurer Nick Merryfield and Deputy Treasurer Bors Hulesch, who have all made an enormous contribution to the Association and its members. Their leadership and commitment have helped shape the strong position the BHBIA is in today, providing an excellent platform for the next phase of the Association’s development.”
The Board looks forward to working together to deliver the Association’s strategy and continue providing meaningful value, guidance and professional leadership for members across the healthcare business insights community.
