This data is 100% true…60% of the time!
Accurately, and confidently communicating data to others is a skill, and if we expect our colleagues to use the data we provide we must be sure they understand it, trust it, and can describe it consistently to make it meaningful.
Benefit from the expertise of both agency and client at this workshop hosted by CSL and MSD UK.

Purpose

Team members with considerable talents to offer an organisation are increasingly disadvantaged if they struggle to back their ideas up with evidence. Enabling colleagues with a range of abilities to access insights from data makes for better decisions. This session will outline why we need to be spending as much time thinking about how we share the data we generate as Insights professionals and makes some practical suggestions on ways to enhance this.

What can you expect?

Expert led guided sessions to help you understand key barriers to using data. Leave with tips and tricks to combat this and strategies for developing a data driven culture within your organisation in an inclusive manner:

  • Confusion around the data - trust, accuracy and data management issues
  • Confusion over purpose - alignment, volume and complexity
  • Presentation - terminology, flow, definitions and visualisations
  • Improving data literacy skills
  • Developing a data driven culture

Attendees will have the opportunity to work through several group exercises designed to bring the issues and principles to life, interspersed with regular breaks to keep energy and focus high during the day. Attendees are also welcome to go for an informal drink at the end of the day to make the most spending face to face time with likeminded industry peers.

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for anyone where providing or communicating data forms a large part of your role. This may be as part of a client side analytics team with responsibility for providing data insights to multiple areas of the commercial business. It may also be of value to research executives in non-analytical roles who need to use data as evidence to support their findings. It would also benefit anyone who wishes to improve their critical thinking skills around data and gain more confidence in interpreting and assessing how best to use data they encounter.
