Make sure your new industry starts and graduate programme joiners are enrolled on this year's flagship Foundation Series course.
Hit the ground running on your return to the office with a holistic overview of Business Insights roles and skills, connect with your peers and begin your Foundation Series journey for the next 12 months.

What can you expect?

This one-day workshop is aimed at those who are new to the pharmaceutical healthcare industry and working in Business Insights roles in both pharmaceutical companies and agencies.

From drug development to Primary Market Research methodologies, Secondary Data sources and uses, to the role Ethics and Compliance plays throughout it all, this one-day workshop is the perfect opportunity for those new to the industry to swat up and hit the ground running and build an appreciation of the key knowledge, disciplines and skills needed for a successful career. Session included are:

  • Outline of the NHS
  • Molecule to Market Overview
  • Secondary Data & Analytics
  • Primary Market Research
  • Guidelines & Legislation
  • Careers in Business Insights

Hosted by a panel of industry experts, it provides an opportunity to ask role specific questions to those who have lived and breathed the job. It is also an invaluable opportunity for those new to the sector to meet others at the same stage and connect to a community of professionals that may span their Insights careers.

The day is ended with an informal networking visit to a nearby pub - giving attendees the opportunity to chat with their fellow students ands hosts and build valuable industry bonds and connections. This can be a great way to find a friendly face in the crowd at future BHBIA events!

Who should attend?

It’s suitable for permanent new starters, as well as placement students and short-term interns. Employees who are experienced in Business Insights roles but who are new to pharmaceuticals will also benefit from attending (e.g. market researchers moving from consumer to healthcare roles). However, the course is not recommended for people who are experienced in other areas of the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. sales representatives moving into Head Office).
