Virtual Workshop
BHBIA Nailing the Business Issues to Deliver Actionable Insight
Zoom
Thursday 04 June 2026, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Ensure you pass the ‘so what? test. Ask powerful questions to clarify your clients’ & stakeholders’ key business issues. Ensure that you can then deliver actionable insights with impact.
Purpose
If we are to deliver actionable insight to our clients and stakeholders, we must first be able to identify and clarify their strategic issues, needs and priorities. To do this, we need to sell the benefits to them of talking with us and then be seen to be delivering value through insightful, memorable and actionable output.
This highly practical and interactive workshop will introduce you to a toolbox of pragmatic models, frameworks and approaches that will make a real difference to your personal impact and business relationships.
You will leave with concrete actions that you will be able to implement back in the workplace, helping you to the priority business questions of your clients and stakeholders. The overarching aim is to help you to increase your impact and influence, raise your profile and improve others’ perception of the value that you deliver.
What can you expect?
This highly practical workshop will give you the opportunity to develop and refine your presentation delivery skills in a totally safe environment.
The aim is to increase both your capacity and your confidence in delivering insightful, trust-enhancing, and memorable messages.
We will discuss such key issues as:
- the changing role of ‘insight’
- the importance of aligning your work & output to the strategic priorities of your own, or your client’s organisation
- the external forces, pressures & trends impacting that organisation and how it choses to respond
- understanding where the organisation aims to get to, how it plans to get there and, most pertinently, how insight can help to achieve that
- the importance of ongoing, two-way communication
- the powerful questions that, once answered by Insight, will have the greatest impact upon the organisation
- stakeholder analysis & management
- the need to identify, in order to deliver, your stakeholder’s definition of both ‘value’ and ‘insight’
- fundamentals of effective influencing & different influencing tactics / approaches
- overcoming impasse / objections / obstacles to effective influencing
Who should attend?
The workshop is equally appropriate for researchers and insight professionals on both the client- and agency-side, and suitable for all levels of experience. It will be particularly relevant to those aiming to move from a transactional to a consultative trusted relationship with their stakeholders.
This workshop is the first of a three-part series - all centred on enhancing your Business Skills in order to be valued as a trusted partner. Other workshops featured in the programme are:
- Crafting Compelling Stories & Actionable Outputs
- Advanced Presentation skills: Delivering Impactful Stories
