Leading healthcare market research agency HRW add Jeremy Koloski and Alexandra Petrache to their behavioural science team

HRW Shift, an award-winning Behavioural Science Team within HRW continues to grow with two outstanding hires

London, UK

HRW Shift launched in 2016 as a team of behavioural science experts integrated within the healthcare research team at HRW. By examining the attitudes and behaviours of healthcare professionals and patients, the Shift team shines a light on hidden cognitive mechanisms and provides evidence-based recommendations to “nudge” behaviour.

Since launching, HRW Shift has completed over 300+ projects and won 10+ awards in over 5 categories, including the EphMRA Excellence in MR Award, Best Use of Innovation (BOBI awards) and Intellus Worldwide Impact Award. The addition of Jeremy Koloski and Alexandra Petrache brings the multi-award-winning team to 11 members across multiple complimentary disciplines of behavioural science.

Jeremy Koloski joins the Manhattan office as a Behaviorual Science Analyst and comes with a diverse background in software engineering, as well as a rich catalogue of knowledge from his MSc in behavioural economics at City, University of London. Not only does he enjoy leveraging qualitative and quantitative methods to better understand human behaviour, he embraces the opportunity to craft accessible articles synthesizing the cutting-edge research in psychology, behavioural economics, and neuroscience – a few of which he has written for the ‘The Decision Lab’, a behavioural design think tank.

Alexandra Petrache also joins as a Behavioural Science Analyst, having recently completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in neuroscience at University College London (UCL), as well as having completed her MSci in genetics at the UCL Institute of Healthy Ageing. She’s presented multiple prize-winning posters on neuroscience research in the UK, Germany, and United States. In addition to her scientific background, Alexandra has a creative flair, having worked as a producer and director on student films as part of the university film society. She will be based out of HRW’s headquarters in Oxford.

“After a long hiring process and several exceptional candidates, we’re delighted to have selected Jeremy and Alexandra to join the HRW Shift team. They each have skills that are well-suited to our client’s need. Additionally, their expertise in a wide range of disciplines can extend our capabilities and inform our output. I hope this is the beginning of a long and happy career at HRW for both of them!”
– Katy Irving, Global Head of Behavioural Science (HRW Shift)

"When I started listening to Malcolm Gladwell and Daniel Pink on my hour-and-a-half subway commute to my software engineering job, behavioral economics was just a peculiar hobby-horse to pass the time. But fast-forward a couple of years, and here I am, joining a team of like-minded behavioral science aficionados at HRW. I’ve always said that I pivoted from computer science to behavioral science because I’m more interested in understanding humans than machines. This exciting new chapter with HRW presents me with the opportunity to develop this passion by exploring the many facets of the human mind through the lens of healthcare."
- Jeremy Koloski

“I find humans immensely fascinating: the way our brain works, the way we behave, or the stories we tell, our desire to conquer oceans and space. I can't wait to delve deeper into human behaviour with my new role and spend my days applying concepts I have only read about before.”
- Alexandra Petrache
