Call for Content 2025 / 26

Fuel the future of healthcare business insights

We’re building something bold for 2026 and we want you to be part of it.

The BHBIA’s learning and events programme is changing! Not just evolving, we are rethinking what business insights in healthcare can be. Think hands-on. Think future-facing. Think packed with fresh ideas, practical tools, and the kind of conversations you won’t find anywhere else.

Why? It’s clear the world around us is shifting fast and our insights community needs to stay ahead of the curve, not chase it. You’ve told us you want more relevance, more interaction, more value. Less “sit and listen,” more “get stuck in.” So, we’re thinking differently.

This is your chance to shape what comes next. Alongside a new conference venue and format, and the 20th anniversary of the BOBI Awards, we’re reimagining our professional development programme.

We’re looking for contributors who want to push boundaries, spark ideas, and raise the bar for healthcare business insights in the UK. Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or have a brand-new concept, if your idea can challenge thinking and change practice, we want to hear from you.

What kind of content are we after?

We’re open to all formats: workshops, panels, debates, roundtables, learning labs, fireside chats, case studies, TED-style talks - anything that gets people thinking, doing, and talking. What matters is that it’s:

  • Practical – rooted in real-world experience and instantly useful
  • Forward-thinking – exploring what’s next in tools, tech or thinking
  • Interactive – designed to engage, challenge, and involve
  • Relevant – speaking to the real-world needs of today’s insight professionals

Key dates for our Annual Conference

We’re still finalising the exact date and venue for the BHBIA 2026 Annual Conference, but it will take place April-June 2026. We’ll share confirmed details as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we encourage you to submit your ideas and help shape the programme. Once plans are finalised, we’ll reach out to confirm your availability.

Why contribute?

By contributing to the BHBIA programme, you’ll:

  • Lead the conversation on where our industry is heading
  • Help elevate standards and skills across the community
  • Connect with peers and decision-makers who value what you bring
  • Build your profile and share your expertise

This is your opportunity to make a meaningful contribution — not just to an event, but to a professional community that’s evolving together.

What makes a great submission?

We’re looking for bold, future-facing content that is grounded, relevant, and valuable. The most successful submissions tend to have a few key qualities:

  • Clear outcomes – participants should leave with new knowledge, ideas, actions or inspiration
  • Interactive and engaging – designed to get people thinking, doing, and talking, not just listening
  • Collaborative and inclusive – co-presenters from different roles (e.g. agency and client) or sectors can bring added depth and balance
  • Originality – content that’s already been widely shared or feels familiar may be passed over in favour of something fresh. We’re looking for ideas our members haven’t heard elsewhere and content that moves the conversation forward
  • Avoid promotional content – we’re looking for sessions that deliver genuine value, not sales pitches. It’s fine to reference tools or proprietary methods, but the focus must be on what others can learn and apply, regardless of product or service
