20th Anniversary of the BOBI Awards
In 2026, the BHBIA’s BOBI Awards celebrate a major milestone – the 20th year of recognising excellence in healthcare business intelligence.
Since the first BOBIs in 2007, these awards have grown into the industry’s benchmark of achievement, showcasing the people, projects and partnerships that push our community forward. Next year, as we celebrate two decades of excellence, we’re inviting sponsors to be part of the story.
The deadline for sponsorship applications is Tuesday 16th September 2025.
Why sponsor?
Sponsors tell us that the BOBIs deliver real impact – from brand visibility and reputation-building to deeper engagement with the healthcare insights community. Many choose to sponsor year after year, recognising the unique value of being associated with the only awards dedicated to healthcare business intelligence in the UK.
Sponsorship also sends a powerful message that your organisation is committed to recognising the excellence that delivers positive impact and drives our industry forward.
Sponsorship packages
Opportunities are available across award categories and ceremony elements. Packages include:
- Prominent branding on the BHBIA website, in promotional materials and at the ceremony
- Use of the official BOBI sponsor logo
- Two discounted tickets for senior managers or key guests to attend the Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner
- The opportunity to present the trophy live on stage (for award sponsors)
- An invitation to join the BOBI Committee, helping to shape the awards and judging
Costs
- Award sponsorship: £2,650 + VAT per award
- Hall of Fame sponsorship: £2,650 + VAT
- Best Newcomer sponsorship: The sponsoring company supplies the venue and hospitality
- Official Photographs: £1,250 + VAT
We encourage longer-term commitment to the BOBIs and offer the following discounts for three-year sponsorships:
- 12.5% discount, if paid in one instalment: £7,238 + VAT
- 8%
discount, if committed through a contract but paid annually: £7,610 + VAT
Award sponsorship opportunities
In 2026, the following BOBI Awards are open for sponsorship:
Awarded to the team of analysts who best showcase their skills in turning complex datasets into an interactive, engaging report that tells the story within the data
Awarded for a research or analytical project that demonstrates a significant impact on the client's UK business
Awarded for a research or analytical project that has increased understanding of target customers and had a positive impact on strategic decision making
Awarded for a research or analytical project that facilitates commercial excellence in any discipline, such as sales force effectiveness, omnichannel insights, forecasting, sales, marketing and any other related field.
Awarded for a research project or analytical approach that has helped a company or the NHS to put patients at the heart of decision-making
Awarded for a research or analytical project that demonstrates effective application of artificial intelligence to create a measurable impact.
Awarded to the newcomer (up to three years' experience in business intelligence) who performs best in a series of individual challenges at a competition day
The following awards will run in 2026 but are not available for sponsorship:
- Fieldwork Team of the Year – sponsored by Sermo under a three-year agreement
- Best Use of Innovation – sponsored by Beyond Blue under a three-year agreement
- Compliance
Challenge – supported by the BHBIA Ethics & Compliance Committee
Hall of Fame Sponsorship
As the BOBI Awards turn 20 in 2026, we’re marking the milestone with a Hall of Fame, celebrating the individuals and teams whose achievements have made a lasting impact on excellence in healthcare business intelligence.
Former winners will be honoured at the BOBI Gala Dinner, receiving a commemorative pin badge as a symbol of their contribution to the industry.
Sponsoring the Hall of Fame is a unique opportunity to be part of the 20th anniversary legacy and to recognise the people and teams who have shaped the healthcare insights community.
Cost: £2,650 + VAT
Best Newcomer
We are looking for a sponsor/host for the Best Newcomer competition, which will be held in March 2025.Unlike other awards, there is no sponsorship fee. Instead, the sponsor/host provides the venue and hospitality for the day. To run the event successfully, we require:
- A large room suitable for presentations, plus multiple breakout rooms
- Refreshments and a buffet lunch for 30–40 entrants, judges and organisers
- A short drinks reception at the end of the day
In return, the sponsor/host enjoys the same benefits as other award sponsors, including the opportunity to present the award live on stage at the Gala Dinner.
We will contact you to discuss requirements and the facilities you could offer before either side commits.
Official Photographs
Support a professional photographer who will capture images of the awards ceremony and the conference. In addition to the general sponsorship benefits, the photography sponsor will:
- Be explicitly credited in post-event publicity featuring the official photographs
- Have their logo displayed on the photographer’s t-shirt during the conference
- Benefit from lasting visibility as the images are shared across BHBIA channels and beyond

To apply for sponsorship:
- Complete the application form, selecting one or more awards or items and ranking them in order of preference.
- The more options you choose, the greater your chances of securing a sponsorship.

Allocation process
Sponsorship is allocated through a fair and transparent process overseen by the BOBI Committee, with priority given in the following order:
- Three-year sponsorship commitments*
- Pharmaceutical companies, to encourage greater participation from these organisations
- Other applicants
Within these groups, applications are drawn at random, with most sponsors securing their first or second choice.
* Where a three-year sponsorship term has just ended, all applications will have equal priority. This ensures organisations who could not previously commit to three years have a fair chance to be involved.
