NEW BHBIA Challenging pharma to focus on health equity and inclusivity

Zoom
Thursday 18 January 2024, 12:30PM - 1:30PM

As researchers we play a powerful role in shining a light on voices and experiences; this session will focus on how to use our power for good. What role does business insights play in the persistent inequalities in healthcare?

How do we challenge the briefs we receive to ensure we are considering these issues? How can we make a difference?

Purpose

This session will hear from DE&I and inclusive marketing experts, showcasing what we’ve learned so far on our journey to designing and delivering work that is inclusive and research that shines a light on inequity. We will discuss success, challenges, and where the quick wins could be for the market research that is foundational to inclusive marketing.

Avalere Health has made significant commitment to DE&I, with the Insight team working alongside a Diversity Advisory Council tasked with challenging client briefs, and a Marketing capability that champions inclusive marketing within their award-winning campaigns.

What can you expect?

Each participant will leave with a better understanding of how business insights can drive inclusive marketing, and will be able to take away 1-2 actions to advocate for equity and inclusion when they write or receive a brief.

Sessions will include:

  • The Importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - the Director's view
  • Building DE&I into a Brand - the Creative Team's view
  • Reflecting DE&I in Insights - roundtable

Who should attend?

This webinar is designed for market insight and marketing professionals, working in agencies or client side, who want to play a part in addressing health inequities. It may also be valuable for those with responsibility for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within their roles as a way of hearing from others implementing similar initiatives.
