You’ve uncovered a valuable set of insights and you’ve crafted a brilliant de-brief story that will capture the hearts and minds of your audience. But to truly elevate your project outcomes, mastering the art of facilitation is essential. Whether you’re a pharma member managing cross-functional teams or an agency member leading project scoping and results de-brief meetings, knowing how to guide discussions and control the dynamics in the room can help you and stakeholders more effectively achieve your goals and great collaborative working.

Purpose

This interactive workshop has been tailor made as part of the BHBIA’s Business Skills series and is designed to equip you with tools and skills for facilitating successful meetings within healthcare intelligence. This could be initial project briefing discussions, mid-project progress reviews, idea generation workshops, or insights delivery sessions – any of which involve managing groups of different people with different needs and working styles. The workshop covers a range of topics from structuring your time and activities, managing difficult situations and participants, through to summarising and capturing outputs.

What can you expect?

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Know how to flex your facilitation style to work effectively and engage with all types of stakeholders
  • Experience and apply the essential phases of facilitation and the skills required for each stage
  • Improve your confidence, impact, and energy
  • Solve common facilitation challenges
  • Know how to turn a ‘dry’ session into an interactive engaging session
  • Sharpen existing skills, explore new techniques, and commit to further development

Who should attend?

This event is aimed at anyone who facilitates discussions in group settings, or who wants to develop these skills as part of their role. It is suitable for those with less experience as a base, or more experienced facilitators looking to expand their toolkit or brush up on their skills. It is also suitable for those who want to take tools and tips back to their working teams and colleagues. Pharma members who regularly deal with internal cross-functional teams will find this workshop useful, while agency members who are managing project scoping and results de-brief meetings with their stakeholder teams would also benefit from attending.

This course follows on from the 'Influence without Authority' and 'Stepping into Challenging Conversations' workshops. The courses in this series are stand alone but also designed to complement each other and build a set of business impact skills that equip Business Insights professionals to move beyond being providers of answers and become trusted, valued business partners.
