In the complex world of healthcare, understanding the unspoken needs of your stakeholders is crucial. As professionals, you often possess valuable insights that could significantly impact decision-making. However, without formal authority, conveying these insights effectively can be challenging. By drawing upon your own case studies and realistic scenarios in this interactive workshop, you will walk away with powerful tools and techniques to build trust and amplify your influence within the healthcare ecosystem.

Purpose

This interactive workshop has been tailor made as part of the BHBIA’s Business Skills series and will help you on your journey towards becoming a trusted business partner and to strengthen the value that you bring to your stakeholders within the complex pharmaceutical and healthcare landscape. This workshop will provide you with the skills and knowledge to understand how to influence stakeholders in a range of situations, whilst enhancing your business impact and positioning yourself as a pivotal player in shaping healthcare outcomes.

What can you expect?

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Have an improved understanding of the drivers of influence and your role as an influencer
  • Understand Cialdini’s six principles of influence and how to apply them to drive positive outcomes
  • Use Insights Discovery to recognise and adapt your influencing style to different stakeholders
  • Strengthen your trustworthiness and build stronger relationships using the Trust Equation
  • Explore how to overcome resistance and drive change through Gleicher’s Formula for Change
  • Apply the learning to your own real-world influencing scenarios”

Who should attend?

The skills covered are relevant to anyone involved in gathering and communicating insights to audiences over whom they have no managerial authority but need to influence and guide their decisions. It would suit those new into the industry to build a strong starting base, or those with more experience looking to enhance and develop their communication and influencing skills.

This course is the first of a series that is followed by 'Stepping into Challenging Conversations' and 'Mastering the Art of Facilitation' workshops. The courses in this series are stand alone but also designed to complement each other and build a set of business impact skills that equip Business Insights professionals to move beyond being providers of answers and become trusted, valued business partners.
