In the complex world of healthcare, understanding the unspoken needs of your stakeholders is crucial. As professionals, you often possess valuable insights that could significantly impact decision-making. However, without formal authority, conveying these insights effectively can be challenging. By drawing upon your own case studies and realistic scenarios in this interactive workshop, you will walk away with powerful tools and techniques to build trust and amplify your influence within the healthcare ecosystem.

Purpose

This interactive workshop has been tailor made as part of the BHBIA’s Business Skills series and will help you on your journey towards becoming a trusted business partner and to strengthen the value that you bring to your stakeholders within the complex pharmaceutical and healthcare landscape. This workshop will provide you with the skills and knowledge to understand how to influence stakeholders in a range of situations, whilst enhancing your business impact and positioning yourself as a pivotal player in shaping healthcare outcomes.

What can you expect?

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Have an improved understanding of the drivers of influence and your role as an influencer
  • Enhance your interpersonal skills and trustworthiness
  • Learn how to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Enhance interpersonal skills by applying Insights Discovery
  • Utilise Cialdini’s six principles of influence to drive positive outcomes
  • Create an action plan and next steps for key stakeholders

Who should attend?

The skills covered are relevant to anyone involved in gathering and communicating insights to audiences over whom they have no managerial authority but need to influence and guide their decisions. It would suit those new into the industry to build a strong starting base, or those with more experience looking to enhance and develop their communication and influencing skills.

A Insights Discovery® Profile is a prerequisite for attending this course as it gives learners a foundation of self-awareness and a common language that we will use during the day.

The BHBIA is running a virtual 2.5 hour Introduction to Insights Discovery workshop on 30th January 2025. See details here  for the workshop and how you can receive your own Insights Discovery® Profile if you haven’t received one previously, either through the BHBIA or via company programmes or other institutions. The workshop will introduce you to the theory and meaning behind Insights Discovery® and guide you through your personal profile.
